Plants do best when seeds are sown directly, but can also do well when seedlings are started indoors and transplanted after around 30 days for areas with shorter growing seasons. Sow seeds 1” deep in moist but not oversaturated soil. 3-4 seeds should be sown for each desired plant, and thinned to 1 seedling per spot after 2-3 weeks.
