To get started, sow the seeds just one inch beneath the surface in a loose soil, with four inches between plants and eighteen to twenty four inches between rows. Beans need light, but even, watering. Because the leaves can become afflicted with disease if made wet, you should water as close to the root as possible. If you do find that a leaf has become diseased, remove it from the plant immediately, as the disease can spread. You can begin harvesting beans when they are about three to five inches long; this will usually be around fifty to seventy days.

Requires full sun and well-drained soil to grow well. Good air circulation around bush bean plants is essential, especially for late shelling or dry type beans, as they are very susceptible to fungal diseases which prevail later in the season. Bush beans are light feeders; compost or well-rotted manures worked into the soil at the time of planting is sufficient. Harvest once the bush beans are smooth, firm and crisp. Keep bush beans constantly picked to ensure a fresh supply in your vegetable garden at all times. Cooks up tender; cans and freezes with no loss of quality. Excellent for short growing, cool seasons. This productive stringless variety is good for canning, freezing or eating raw directly from the garden and has a very distinctive flavor. Resistant to BV, heat, and mildew. Approx. 90 seeds/oz.
